Welcome to the Psycho-Oncology Society of Nigeria

The Psycho-Oncology Society of Nigeria (POSON) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to providing psychosocial support for cancer patients and their caregivers. Established in 2009 and inaugurated in 2011, POSON also serves as a hub for training, research, patient advocacy, and collaboration with both local and international organizations.

Our Objectives

  • Provide psychosocial services to cancer patients and caregivers across Nigeria and Africa.
  • Offer a training ground to advance the field of Psycho-Oncology in Nigeria.
  • Conduct research to strengthen cancer care and improve patient outcomes.
