POSON Announces 14th National Scientific Psycho-Oncology Conference & Workshop

The Psycho-Oncology Society of Nigeria (POSON) is pleased to announce the upcoming 14th National Scientific Psycho-Oncology Conference & Workshop, scheduled to hold on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th September, 2025 at the David Umahi Federal University of Health Science, Uburu, Ebonyi State.

Theme:

“Integrating Psycho-Oncology into Nigeria’s Mainstream Cancer Care”

This premier event is dedicated to exploring the intersection of psychological and oncology sciences. It will provide a unique platform for researchers, clinicians, and professionals from around the globe to share their latest findings, innovative practices, and comprehensive reviews in the field of psycho-oncology.

Call for Abstracts

POSON invites abstracts for oral and poster presentations that address a wide range of topics within psycho-oncology, including but not limited to:

• Equitable Access to Cancer Care

• Psychosocial Aspects of Cancer Care

• Quality of Life and Cancer Survivorship

• Palliative Cancer and End-of-Life Care

• Integrative and Complementary Therapies

• Spirituality in Cancer Care

• Communication in Cancer Care

• Patient-Reported Outcomes and Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL)

• Psychological Impact of Cancer

Submission Guidelines

• Abstract Content: Maximum of 300 words, including Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.

• Deadline: Abstracts must be submitted on or before 8th September, 2025.

• Presentation Details: Accepted abstracts will be presented in oral or poster sessions. Detailed presentation guidelines will be provided to authors of accepted abstracts.

• Registration: Presenters must register for the conference to secure their slot in the program.
